Excel 2011 on a Mac and can't load EZAnalyze add-in

I've followed the manual installation instructions using the ezanalyze3.xla file and cannot get the add-in to be visible next to the Help menu item.

Restarting Excel (with the add-in enabled) yields the following error message box:

"This file contains Visual Basic macros. The macros that have been disabled.  If you save it, the file will contain the Visual Basic project."

Please help!  Thanks...

I am working on increasing Excel 2011 compatibility; even if you did get it installed, only a few functions work.

The issue you are having, it seems, is that the macros are being disabled; check your security settings and switch them to 'low'; instructions at http://www.ezanalyze.com/help/macroSecurity.htm for 2003 should work.

Hey, Tim...thanks for the prompt reply.  I'm disappointed but understand.  Unfortunately, the graduate program through which I am working has a weekend assignment that's dependent on EZAnalyze.  Excel 2011 is the only version accessible to me, personally, so it looks like I'll be on the prowl for Office 2010 (or earlier) on Windows this weekend.

Would you happen to have any other recommendations for similar analysis tooling that might work for Office 2011 on Mac?

I'll continue to watch this forum for updates as to when you might have a working add-in for your product...thanks again for the assistance!

Hi Debbie - it is unfortunate; instructors should be aware of the issue and have alternatives - such as a computer lab with EZAnalyze pre-installed.  Depending on the types of analyses you need to conduct, you may be able to find web-based programs such as http://faculty.vassar.edu/lowry/VassarStats.html .  When I have a working version for Mac, I'll post a note on the ezanalyze.com home page for sure!
